Pushpa 2 USA Pricing on Par with Event Films

The pricing strategy for Tollywood films has seen a big shift ever since ‘pan-India’ or ‘event’ films became a trend. Until then, high prices were exclusive to SS Rajamouli’s films in the U.S.

Prabhas has done the most ‘event’ films among Telugu stars, which helped normalize high pricing at the U.S. box office.

The most recent event film, NTR’s Devara, also had higher pricing.

Now, with Pushpa 2 up for release, U.S. bookings have opened, and the pricing is on par with other event films. Check the prices below:

Telugu:

XD: $31.89
Standard: $26.89

Hindi: $18.89

Even though Pushpa 2 is highly anticipated, it doesn’t fall into the event film category. Still, the pricing is similar to recent films like Kalki 2898 AD and Devara.

We’ll have to wait and see how audiences respond to this pricing. Pushpa 2 is expected to gain momentum as Allu Arjun and Sukumar ramp up their promotional material.
