Pushpa Collections Leave Rajamouli Tensed

Allu Arjun‘s Pushpa had a sensational outing in Nizam. The movie has set an All-Time Record there thanks to the complete cooperation of the Telangana Government. The State Government there has allowed Fifth show in theaters and also hiked prices (highest-ever).

All these have helped the movie big time. But it is exactly the opposite in Andhra Pradesh. Thanks to no hikes and no extra shows, the movie has suffered big time. Usually, Coastal Andhra Pradesh collections are more than double of Nizam. But now, they are actually less than Nizam numbers.

In many areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, the recovery on the first day is just 10-15% which has left the buyers high and dry. This has also pushed Rajamouli into a dilemma. If the same scenario prevails, at best, RRR may collect 20% more than what Pushpa has collected.

At the same time, the targets will be minimum of two times higher than Pushpa if not more. As things stand today, only a clear ruling by High Court before January 7th can only save RRR and other Sankranthi biggies. Even then, the government may still trouble the industry without allowing hikes or special shows. Coming days are going to be tough and uncertain for the industry.
