Pushpa To Fall Short Of Hit Status

Icon Star Allu Arjun‘s Pushpa had a decent outing in its second weekend. The all-important Andhra Pradesh run looks completely disappointing. It is decent in Nizam with good performance in Hindi Belt. The movie has to collect 150 Crore Share in its full run to be a hit venture.

But then, time is running out as only one more weekend is left before RRR takes the box office by storm. Pushpa performed much better than its expectations and the mixed talk it carried. But then, it is not just enough due to the hefty target. Situations in Andhra Pradesh only made it further worse.

Except for Nellore and Ceeded which have recovered 60% so far, all other areas are hovering around 50% recoveries. For an instance, Guntur rights are valued at 9.18 Crore but has managed to recover only around 4.6 Crore. The movie may have had an outside chance to become a hit if things are different in AP.

In Nizam, the movie pulled off a blinder. It has made the impossible-looking 35 Crore target look easy. At US Box Office, the movie is hovering around 2.1 Million while the breakeven is around 2.7 million.
