PVR Hyd Flooded: Chaos During Kalki Screening

Heavy rainfall on Sunday night led to water leaking inside a prominent multiplex theater, PVR at Hyderabad Central, disrupting the screening of the latest film, Kalki 2898 AD.

Reports indicate that as the movie paused due to the incident, tensions escalated between the audience and PVR theater staff. Moviegoers expressed safety concerns, questioning the management’s accountability in case of a potential short circuit or accident.

The heavy rainfall was sufficient to expose the vulnerabilities of this dilapidated and poorly maintained building and theater. It poses a public hazard, especially given it is right opposite Panjagutta police station, and should be reported promptly.

Alleging negligence, some patrons confronted the theater management, demanding clarity on safety measures and responsibility.

The situation intensified with management reportedly urging dissatisfied viewers to leave, prompting some to contact law enforcement authorities for intervention.

Hyderabad witnessed sudden downpours accompanied by gusty winds, severely affecting daily life across the city.
