Rajamouli’s ‘Cotton shirt’ highlight of Padma Awards

S S Rajamouli made the entire Tollywood proud when he received the Padmashri Award for his contribution to Indian cinema. He was bestowed with this honour earlier today by the president of India in Delhi.

But what caught everyone’s attention was the ace director’s simplicity. When all the celebs, prominent leaders and winners were dressed to the occasion, Rajamouli chose a simple avatar and turned up in a simple cotton shirt.

Amidst huge cheers, Rajamouli received his award and all those who were present at the occasion were in awe of the great director for his simple approach and grounded nature.

Even though some were of the feeling that Rajamouli should have been dressed a lit better, several others feel that he is one director who has put Indian cinema on the world pedestal and his simplicity towards the honour is what more important.
