Kabali – Single Day 100 Cr Gross!

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali has had a smashing opening worldwide. The numbers that started pouring in right from US premieres were earth shattering. It isn’t any wonder therefore that the film has notched the biggest opening day ever in the history of Indian cinema, so far.

First of all let us look at the Telugu numbers. Kabali has opened to record number for dubbed films which is close to 9 Cr. The previous best as we reported earlier belongs to Shankar directed I. In Hindi it has collected 1.75 cr share. Now coming to the home turf, Kabali has literally obliterated the previous record in Tamil cinema by huge margin. It has grossed 21.5 Cr making it the new number one by a mile. In overseas from the reported places so far the film has grossed slightly over 4M.

When put together, the overall gross of the film comes close to 100 Cr (just short as of now). When the final collections from across the world are updates one can be rest assured of it crossing the magical mark. A feat like this is achieved for the first time across all the industries in India. This is what you call true star power, hats off to the real Superstar of Indian cinema.
