Rajinikanth’s Producer Threatened with Suicide

There had been no doubt in the fact that Rajinikanth’s last release ‘Kabali’ didn’t live up to the expectations and the hype and to be frank, many of the distributors were left in losses as they had bought the rights for exorbitant prices.

One distributor by name Selvakumar had reportedly bought the distributing rights for around Rs. 5.5 crores and suffered losses amounting to Rs. 2.8 crores. The distributor is surrounded by financial pressures because his financers are pressurising him to pay back their dues.

He alleged that the producer, S Thanu had agreed to pay him back some amount of money but is taking his own time. Selvakumar says he is left with no option but committing suicide as his financers aren’t listening and his life came to a stop, literally.

He met the press and explained his pitiable condition and even wished to meet Rajinikanth though he isn’t anyway related with the commitment of the producer.
