Rajinikanth Then, Pawan Kalyan Now

The premiere shows of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram’s latest outing ‘Agnyathavaasi‘ will begin around 12-noon shows in the US. The occupancy of the theatres​ for these early shows will be keenly followed by the trade as few other biggies will soon follow this.

As you know, no one goes to movies in the US at 12 noon. But, the premiere shows of Rajinikanth’s movie ‘Kabali’ were screened at 12 o clock afternoon in the US. The genuine euphoria around ‘Kabali’ made this possible. It’s a sort of rare thing as no one goes to movies in the US during the day. Normally, the movie business in the US starts from Thursday premiere shows followed by Friday and Saturday will add to the big numbers.

Though Mahesh Babu’s ‘SPYder’ too had early premieres, the early show started only around 3 p.m. But for ‘Agnyathavaasi’ premiers will start at 12 noon, something unique and we have to wait to see the occupancy rate. If the talk is positive, definitely that will increase the pre-sales for the coming shows in the evening.
