Super star Rajnikanth is among the 25 greatest global living legends awards presented by president Pranab Mukherjee on behalf of NDTV. This big event was held in Rashtrapati Bhawan and several legends including Amithab Bachan, Sharukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar and others shared the stage. Talking on the big stage Rajni said he believes ‘Miracles do happen’ because an ordinary bus conductor sharing the stage with several living legends is a miracle he believes. He dedicated this award to his brother Sathyanarayana Rao Gaikwad, his guru Balachander and Tamil people for the support and the love they have always extended, with out their love support I wouldn’t be here, said Rajni.
Sachin who’s topped the list talked about Rajni, “It was very kind of him as he came to meet me. I was absolutely floored by his humility and glad that I met him. He is someone I really admire.”

Apart from Ranikanth, other film legends include Amithab Bachan, Sharukh Khan, AR Rahaman, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev and Leander Paes among the list from the sports persons.
