REJECTED! Ram Charan In No Mood to Repeat Past Blunders?

Ram Charan Reportedly Rejects Apoorva Lakhia Film After Zanjeer

Ram Charan faced one of the biggest setbacks of his career with Zanjeer, which was supposed to be his big Bollywood launch in 2013. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic Zanjeer carried huge expectations before release. But the film crashed badly and received disastrous reviews.

Charan was also targeted heavily after the film. His acting came under severe trolling, and the failure became an ugly chapter in his early career.

But Rangasthalam changed that perception completely. He followed it with RRR, where his portrayal of Alluri Sitarama Raju received widespread appreciation.

And now, an interesting buzz has emerged from Film Nagar.

Apoorva Lakhia is reportedly trying to approach Ram Charan again for his new project. The director, who introduced Charan to Bollywood with Zanjeer, is said to be interested in working with him once again.

But according to reports, Charan has apparently rejected the proposal.

If true, the decision makes sense from a career perspective. Had Charan accepted the film, it would have come as a big shock to his fans. Apoorva Lakhia currently has Maatrubhumi with Salman Khan coming up, and the film is already facing disastrous trade expectations.

Ram Charan now needs extremely talented directors who can take his stardom to the next level. His team is reportedly trying to lock projects with big directors like Lokesh Kanagaraj, Prashanth Neel and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In such a scenario, Apoorva Lakhia simply does not fit into the current scheme of things.

If the latest buzz is true, Charan has apparently chosen not to repeat the blunders of his past.
