Ram Charan vs Nani Battle Lines Drawn: No Backing Out?

Telugu producers usually lock in festival and summer release dates far in advance. Sankranti is the most sought-after season at the start of the year, and once it ends, all eyes move to summer. From the end of March, summer releases take over the theatres, and competition for prime dates becomes intense.

For summer 2026, two big films entered the race very early: Ram Charan’s Peddi and Nani’s The Paradise. Even before shooting began, The Paradise locked March 26, while Peddi announced March 27. This back-to-back scheduling immediately started conversations among industry and fans, with many believing one of the films would eventually shift to avoid a clash.

As expected, rumors soon surfaced claiming that both films might be postponed due to shooting delays. These reports created confusion among fans and exhibitors. However, both teams have now put an end to the speculation. Peddi producer officially denied all postponement talk and confirmed a March 27 release. Soon after, the team of The Paradise also reaffirmed March 26 through a special video released on director Srikanth Odela’s birthday.

With both teams standing firm, the postponement rumors have been shut down as of now. Sources say more than half of the shooting is already complete for both films, and if production wraps up by January, the March dates are very much achievable. Since both are pan-India projects, extensive promotions will follow.

Now, the stage is set for a potential Ram Charan vs Nani summer clash. If both films hold their ground, audiences could witness one of the most interesting box-office battles of the season. Peddi is obviously the bigger one with massive hype, Nani’s The Paradise also cannot be underestimated.
