Ram Charan’s Sentiment Haunts Koratala

The content of the film is the key in the USA market. Also, the US Telugu crowd has a specific taste and they tend to lap up only films that suit their sensibilities. Sadly for Koratala Siva, he got to learn it the hard way with Acharya.

Koratala had three huge blockbusters in the USA market – Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, and Bharat Ane Nenu. Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu created non-Baahubali records. But none of this helped the theatrical run of Acharya in the USA market.

Acharya might be making less than $1 million in its full run and this is a shocking statistic for a film that has two superstars – Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. After delivering three blockbusters, Siva had to face a humiliating flop with Acharya.

Previously, something very similar happened with Sreenu Vaitla. He was flying high on the success of Dookudu, Aagadu, and Baadshah, but took a huge fall with Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee.

Interestingly, Ram Charan is involved in the nosedive of both these directors’ market in the USA.
