In any debate, Ram Gopal Varma will always take a unique take. Known for his unconventional views and provocative opinions, RGV has once again grabbed headlines, this time for his remarks on India’s education system.
Taking X as platform RGV claimed that while controversies such as NEET paper leaks and student suicides expose flaws in the current system they are only symptoms of a much larger disruption. According to him, AI is changing the world at such a rapid pace that traditional education models are becoming increasingly outdated.
The filmmaker went a step further by warning students who are pursuing professional courses such as medicine, engineering, law, and chartered accountancy. He stated that AI could already be performing a significant portion of the work those professions currently require. He also added, ” Everyone needs to buckle up and kill the education system in its present form, before young peoples futures are killed by the elderly ignorants. The only hope is to steer them super fast towards A I and throw everything else into the dustbin”
Whether one agrees with RGV or not, his comments have reignited an important conversation about the future of education in the age of artificial intelligence. The debate is shifting from merely securing degrees to developing the adaptability and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
