RGV-Nag Not Inspired from ‘Taken’

RGV and Nagarjuna are coming after more than two decades and that’s the reason why there is a certain curiosity among the audiences on ‘Officer’. There is a piece of news making rounds that ‘Officer’ is inspired by Liam Neeson’s French action thriller ‘Taken’.

Though RGV has denied saying that there wouldn’t be even the remotest connection to the French thriller audiences wouldn’t mind even if it is an inspiration. Though ‘Taken’ came about 10 years ago, it has all the ingredients to impress the Telugu audiences. Especially, the father and the daughter sentiment is very good with the right dose of action sequences.

In a way, if it is packaged well commercially, ‘Officer’ will work well for the Telugu audiences. But, RGV says that the resemblance to the French thriller strictly restricted to the fact that Nagarjuna is a cop and he has a daughter like in ‘Taken’.
