Ranbir Kapoor has apologised for his speech mistake at a Dussehra event in Kolkata. The actor was promoting Ramayana when he accidentally got the message about the victory of good over evil wrong, and the clip soon started doing the rounds on social media.
At the October 20 event, Ranbir was talking about the significance of Dussehra. However, while delivering his message, he said that truth and goodness would come to an end instead of saying that they would win in the end. The mistake caught people’s attention, and many users shared the video online.
Speaking at the Chennai event, Ranbir clarified that he wanted to say that no matter how powerful evil is, truth and goodness will win in the end. He also recalled a line from Rockstar while talking about how his words came out wrong.
Ranbir plays Lord Rama in Ramayana, with Sai Pallavi playing Sita and Yash appearing as Ravana. The film’s first part is set to release in theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026.
