Rana’s 180 Cr Period Funded by Shrewd Producer

Suresh Babu as a producer is known to be a shrewd businessman who spends every penny very carefully and invest in wise projects with medium budget films rather than choosing huge budget films. It’s surprising to hear that he is funding the period drama, ‘Hiranyakashyapa’ that would cost around Rs. 180 crores.

However, he is doing this for the sake of his son, Rana. Isn’t he betting too much on his son who is a proven talent but not a star yet to command a whopping Rs 180 crores budget? The pre-production works of the movie are underway and the mythological sets needed for the movie are under construction.

Director Gunasekhar, who is adept at planning the details of the pre-production works, is said to be working on the project that will have a release in multiple languages. The title role Hirankashyapa is actually the antagonist of the mythological story while the character ‘Prahlada’ will be the protagonist. Let’s see if Suresh Babu’s shrewdness as a business will prove right in the case of this project, as well.
