Rana Daggubati spills beans on Baahubali

Tollywood Jakkanna Rajamouli, the top director of Telugu Film Industry has planned ‘Baahubali’ in such a scale that India hasn’t seen so far claims Rana Daggubati who is playing a principal character in the magnum opus. We know that Prabhas is playing the protagonist in the film while Rana the antagonist in the epic drama.

In an exclusive interview while promoting his upcoming Hindi movie ‘Baby’, Rana spilled beans on the story of ‘Baahubali’. The movie story has shades of our epic story Mahabharata where brothers (cousins), Pandavas and Kauravas fight for the throne of the kingdom of Hastinapura. Likewise in ‘Baahubali’, Prabhas and Rana are playing brothers who fight for a kingdom reveals Rana.

He further adds that Rajamouli shot the war scenes for 120 days exclusively out of the 280 days of shooting time. Still 200 days to go for the remaining part to be shot. He proudly claims that ‘Baahubali’ is our ‘Lord of Rings’ and ‘Gladiator’ for South Indian Cinema. The range of the movie is Rs.170 crores though he accepts that he and Prabhas are nowhere near to that range of magnanimity. Rana seems to be speaking more on ‘Baahubali’ while promoting ‘Baby’.
