Rana’s Massive All-Around Promotions, Not Getting Desired Impact

Rana is a workaholic and keeps himself busy doing one kind of activity or the other. In any case, he makes sure that they also get the right publicity. As a result, we see him all over the media, for one reason or the other.

It is fine and is a new age mantra for stars of the current generation. Everything is fine as long as it works and helps in gaining traction for the project in question. The publicity or the projection has to work is the bottom-line.

In that aspect, Rana’s latest Aranya seems to be a bit lacking. The star of the show is obviously Rana, and he kick-started the promotional campaign in his usual style. He was all over the place in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu media during the launch of the teaser. However, since then, nothing has been up to the mark to maintain curiosity.

The subject, based in a forest backdrop, is giving it less scope for commercial elements to promote. The songs aren’t helping the cause. It is now all up to the theatrical trailer and final round of promotions in the lead-up to the release.

Meanwhile, Uppena, a film starring newcomers, is stealing the limelight slowly. The ‘commercial aspects’ and the love story is drawing attention. Nishabdham, on the other hand, seems to be relying entirely on the star power of Anushka.

All three films, Aranya, Uppena and Nishabdham, are slated to release on the same day, April 2nd. There were earlier talks about Nishabdham getting postponed further, and now, one is hearing the same with Aranya. Let’s see if that is the case, in the coming days.
