Ranabaali Box Office Opening Collection
Vijay Deverakonda is back on the big screen with Ranabaali. The film is based on the great famine in the Rayalaseema region in the early 1900s and was released in theatres on October 16.
Following a series of films that did not meet expectations, Vijay Deverakonda was hoping Ranabaali would perform well at the box office and reaffirm his drawing power. The film has opened with a steady collection, reportedly earning around ₹15 crore on its first day.
This is nearly half the opening-day gross of his earlier film Kingdom, which collected more than ₹35 crore. Ranabaali has started with a lower opening compared to Vijay’s previous release, making its performance over the coming days important.
Vijay Deverakonda needs to regain the confidence of Telugu audiences, and the current phase could prove challenging. Given the film’s reported high budget, a strong performance at the box office over the weekend will be important for its overall prospects.
However, competition from Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 could affect Ranabaali’s theatrical performance. Jailer 2 has opened strongly and received reasonable reviews. Its commercial presentation could also help it attract audiences to theatres.
Vijay Deverakonda has expressed confidence in Ranabaali since the beginning. It remains to be seen how the film performs at the box office, as the weekend collections will be crucial in determining its overall momentum.
