Actress Ranga Sudha has lodged a police complaint at Panjagutta police station after obscene posts about her went viral on Twitter. She alleged that a man named Radhakrishna, along with several Twitter handles, has been targeting her with objectionable content.
According to Sudha, she was once in a relationship with Radhakrishna but they parted ways after disagreements. Following this, he allegedly developed a grudge and began harassing her online. She said he threatened to release private photos and videos from their past relationship.
Sudha also claimed that Radhakrishna collaborated with some Twitter page admins to morph and circulate indecent images of her. She believes these acts were aimed at defaming her and causing mental distress.
Unable to tolerate the harassment, she approached the police and registered a case. The Panjagutta police confirmed the complaint and assured strict action against Radhakrishna and others involved. Officials warned that those misusing social media to harass women will face serious consequences.
Ranga Sudha has acted in small roles in Telugu films and even played the second lead heroine in the Malayalam film Teri Meri. She is also popular as a social media influencer with nearly 900,000 Instagram followers, known for her bold photoshoots.
Recently, a video allegedly showing her smoking a cigarette surfaced online, sparking trolling from some netizens. However, it is still unclear whether the video is authentic or manipulated.
This case once again highlights the growing menace of online harassment faced by celebrities, especially women in the film and modelling industry. Despite repeated warnings from the police, abusive content and morphed images continue to spread on social media.
