Rangasthalam: Biggest Assured

The premiere countdown for the much awaited Ram Charan starrer Rangasthalam has begun. The early indications are positive and the biggest premiere number for Ram Charan is already assured.

The previous best premiere numbers for Ram Charan in the US are Bruce Lee ($284 K) and Dhruva ($223 K). If one looks at those numbers, it would be easily understood why everyone is sure that Rangasthalam would be new record for the star. In fact, until Dhruva, Charan did not even have a Million plus movie in the US. In a way, one can say Sukumar is the biggest pull here. His last two films opened bigger and collected more than Charan’s (Nannaku Prematho $2 Million) . Of course, having a star always is an additional boost.

The initial expectation on Rangasthalam premiers right now is a north of 600K for premiers. How far will that go depends on the initial shows talk. If those numbers get surpassed before the official show begins that would be an indicator of the huge hype surrounding the film.
