Rashmika: Victim To Brand Ambassador

Star actress Rashmika Mandanna has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador for the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), which is a part of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

She would be promoting cyber safety by being the brand ambassador for I4C. She would be a part of I4C’s various campaigns regarding online fraud, deepfake technology, cyberbullying, and malicious AI-generated content.

The announcement video of the same landed on social media. In the video, Rashmika says that cybercrime is a serious and widespread problem that impacts people, businesses, and communities all over the world.

She stated that as she was a victim of cybercrime, she would be committed to raising awareness and promoting online safety.

In November last year, a deepfake video of Rashmika surfaced on social media and quickly went viral. Her face was digitally altered onto the body of a British model in a compromising situation. The police later arrested the person responsible for making the video.

On the career front, Rashmika Mandanna will be next seen in the movie Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar. Featuring Allu Arjun in the lead role, this movie is slated for a worldwide release on December 5.
