Ravi Teja Again Goes Wrong!

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, as an actor, is placed in a better position these days after the success of Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya. Though Ravanasura flopped badly, he has Tiger Nageswara Rao coming up, which looks promising.

But his stint as a producer has been dismal until now. His first film, Matti Kushti, starring Vishnu Vishal, was an outright flop at the box office. His next film as producer, Ravanasura, also turned out to be a disaster.

Ravi Teja’s latest film as producer, Changure Bangaru Raja, was released this week and opened to empty theaters. Touted to be a crime comedy starring Naarappa fame Karthik Ratnam, comedian Satya, and social media star Nityasri, the film failed to impress the audience.

The outdated story and direction tested the patience of the audience. It is commendable that Ravi Teja has thrown his weight behind a young team, but his choice of subject is faulty. As a producer, he is not able to smell a good script to invest his money.

The next film coming up from his banner is Sundaram Master, starring Harsha Chemudu, popularly known as Viva Harsha in the lead. It is another satirical comedy directed by newcomer Kalyan Santosh.

Raviteja’s RT Teamworks banner needs to pick good and novel scripts. Encouraging new talent isn’t enough; he should strive to encourage and promote the right talent.
