Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s latest outing Irumudi is not a devotional movie, though the movie sees him wearing Ayyappa Mala and taking the Deeksha, which is an integral and crucial part of the story. In fact, very rarely have such films come in Telugu cinema, with the mix of family emotions and thrilling elements.
Breaking the trend of audiences turning out only after learning about the initial feedback, Irumudi is witnessing huge crowds across all the centres. While the narrative is gripping from start to end, devotees are offering harathulu to the Ayyappa Deeksha scenes and songs. The movie is said to be the right mix of all the elements, making it a wholesome experience.
It’s not a larger-than-life character for Ravi Teja, who owned the character completely, showing a side audiences haven’t witnessed before. Director Shiva Nirvana is also winning accolades for his unique and winning attempt.
The biggest indication of the film’s strong theatrical momentum is the demand for additional shows. With several centres witnessing packed houses from the morning itself, exhibitors have been adding additional theatres and screens to accommodate the audience turnout. The word of mouth following the premiere shows has further strengthened the film’s prospects.
With Ravi Teja’s performance, Shiva Nirvana’s narration, and the film’s emotional and devotional elements receiving positive feedback, Irumudi has made a powerful beginning. Irumudi is likely to emerge victorious, with box office numbers set to be massive.
