Real Numbers: Which Hero Ruled Social Media This Year?

Leading social media platform, Twitter has released its Hashtag statistics between January 1st and June 30th this year. Today is Twitter’s Hashtag day which means today is the fourteenth anniversary of Hashtags.

Films have dominated the social media buzz in India in the first half of 2021. Mahesh Babu’s #SarkaruVaariPaata is at the third position while Pawan Kalyan’s #VakeelSaab is at Tenth. Vakeel Saab is the only biggie that has released after the pandemic has started.

#SarkaruVaariPaata trending at #3 months ahead of its release indicates the hype and expectations on the film. There is a good chance the movie will continue to be in the list in the second half of the year as well.

Meanwhile, Kollywood dominates the Top 10 list with five Hashtags and all of them belongs to Ajith and Vijay.
