This South Actress Is a Lesbian

When we have first watched the trailer of the Bollywood film ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga‘, we’ve caught glimpses of South actress Regina Cassandra making her debut into Bollywood. The trailer didn’t say much about Regina except for a few seconds when she was seen dancing along with the lead character essayed by Sonam Kapoor.

We were one among the early birds who guessed that Regina might be playing the love interest of Sonam Kapoor as a lesbian. After the special screening to a bunch of selected celebrities of ‘E Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ on Wednesday, the secret was completely revealed. This movie is directed by a female director, Shelly Chopra who approached Regina after watching the South actress’ movies in South languages.

The film has the underlying concept of homosexuality and Regina indeed played the role of a lesbian with whom Sonam Kapoor falls in love and it’s the story of the latter who struggles to keep her sexual inclination a secret fearing the sensibilities of her traditional parents. Regina sees this movie dealing with a sensitive issue and this role as a great opportunity for her debut into Bollywood. Let’s wait and see how the director shaped up her character.
