Tollywood had a rather sedated, start to March with not many prospective films releasing in theatres thus far. But coming to this weekend, we have not one, but two notable films arriving at the box office.
The said films are Court and Dilruba. Both the films are releasing in theatres on March 14, and interestingly, both of them are going for paid premier today March 13.
By the looks of it and the early reception from the premier, Court promises to be a sincere and genuine courtroom drama that is mostly powered by strong performances. Producer Nani has credibility as an actor and also as a producer so this will add to the prospects of this film.
Then we have Dilruba, which happens to be the immediate next film of Kiran Abbavaram, who recently had a comeback the form of Ka. This film is projected to be a commercial action drama.
The Tollywood audience have two different options this weekend, as we have one genuine coatroom drama on one hand and a commercial potboiler on the other.
However, both these films will entirely be dependent on the word of mouth from the early shows as this will be the sole deciding factor for the box of his performance over the weekend.
