The actress plays a journalist in the movie, and the first look image serves as an introduction to the world in multiple ways. It highlights the look, period and setting of the time and also the character of Savitri indirectly.

Mahanati is the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, and Keerthy Suresh essays the title role. Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subrahmanium fame directs Mahanati, and it is slated to release in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously on May 9th.
