RGV protégée refuses to spoof the mentor

Back when Ram Gopal Varma used to make movies as part of his production ‘Factory’ he introduced many talents to the industry or gave them their biggest breaks. Actor Manoj Bajpai is one such product who got his first big break from this Factory.

Today the director has reached an abyss as far as his popularity or his stature as director goes with the kind of films he is making now but thanks to the ‘Factory’ products, the director is still regarded as a maverick by many. It turns out that even the actor too feels the same way about RGV. Manoj Bajpai was recently offered a movie which was a spoof on the director but the actor refused it citing script problems.

The makers of A Shyam Gopal Varma film are now looking at other options available for this Hindi remake. It remains to be seen if this film will eventually take off or not too as RGV isn’t that important a factor for a Bollywood movie now when compared to Tollywood.
