Road Block for Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vishwaroopam 2’

Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vishwaroopam 2‘ that was stuck in the cans since 2013 is finally coming to the theatres on 10th August, this year. When there is only a week before the release, an affidavit was filed against the movie’s release.

A plea to stop the movie’s release was submitted by Pyramid Saimara Productions because Kamal Haasan has to pay Rs. 7.75 crores for the production house. Allegedly, the Universal star received Rs. 6.9 crores plus Rs 4 crore for jointly producing a movie titled ‘Marmayogi’. But, the production house alleged that Kamal had diverted the amount ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ (‘Eenadu’ in Telugu).

In the past, the production house approached the court to stop the release of ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’. Once again, the production house approached Madras High Court to stop the latest release of Kamal Haasan so that it could recover the amount due from the Universal star.
