RRR and KGF 2 Regional Languages On Same OTT

RRR and KGF 2 are two of South Indian cinema’s biggest outings this year. Both these big event films are expected to set the box office on fire. Here is an interesting report on the OTT partner of these two biggies.

The South Indian language versions of both RRR and KGF 2 are held by ZEE5. Meaning, the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions of these biggies are owned by ZEE5.

ZEE5 is entering the big league of OTT players with RRR and KGF 2, which have the potential to greatly amplify the footprint of the platform in the South Indian market.

Up until now, Amazon Prime Video was the only OTT giant going after big-ticket projects, but ZEE5 has upped the ante with their big-money acquisitions now.

RRR is a mega budget action drama directed by SS Rajamouli and it has Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles. KGF 2 is the second installment from the KGF franchise. It has Yash in the central role and is directed by Prashanth Neel. RRR hits the theatres on 25th March and KGF 2 hits the theatres on 14th April.
