The Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer had a good Friday to start the second weekend on a promising note. The numbers came in higher than Thursday, which suggested there would be a much bigger jump ahead. The Friday collections are in the range of 8.3 Cr to 8.5 Cr.
Nizam continued to be the leader, with more than half of the collection coming from a single territory. Ceded and Uttar Andhra are the other top territories with excellent collections.
As expected, Saturday opened with terrific crowds all over. It is a Ugadi holiday, and the theatres are brimming with jam-packed audiences everywhere. To give an idea to the uninitiated, the morning shows collections on Saturday at many centres were equal to the whole day numbers from the previous day.
The story is the same everywhere, be it in Tamil, Malayalam or Hindi. In some areas, Friday was bigger than the combined total of the previous two days. And Saturday is going to be much higher.
RRR has crossed 800 Cr Gross worldwide. The excellent second weekend means RRR is racing towards the 1000 Cr worldwide Gross mark sooner than expected. SS Rajamouli directs the epic, and when it reaches the 1000 Cr Gross, it will be the second one for him on the trot. Watch this space for more box office and trade updates.
