RRR Day 2: Mayhem At The Box Office

The records keep tumbling as RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, creates mayhem at the box office on the second day. RRR has now set a new record for the second-day collections by minting more than double the previous best day 2.

RRR has done phenomenally well across the board in the Telugu states. Nizam was sensational as RRR set a new daily record in the territory for the second day. That its second day was bigger than the previous (non-RRR) all-time record should suggest the extent of hysteria generated by the movie.

Overall, in Telugu states, the second-day collection is over 31.5 Cr. It is sensational and mind-blowing by any yardstick. The previous best second day is not even half of it. In two days itself, RRR has surpassed the highest first week in the area set by Baahubali 2 many years ago. In short, it is an SS Rajamouli film that is breaking his own film’s record.

The third has started on a solid note, and it is expected to be the best day after the opening day. Expect records to keep tumbling further in Telugu states.

RRR has picked up big time in other languages as well. In Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, RRR is set to have a fabulous weekend. The pickup in other languages suggests strong word of mouth and a long run ahead for the movie.
