RRR Releasing Directly On OTT?

While Telugu media is busy in speculating about the release date of SS Rajamouli‘s RRR, a section of North media has started airing gossips that Pen Studios’s films – RRR, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Attack will skip their theatrical release and come directly on OTT.

The rumors have gained steam there and so, Pen Studios have given a clarification rubbishing those reports. The official statement said the rumors as “untrue”. It added that the “magnum opus films are made for the big screen experience and would be released in theatres”.

As things stand today, RRR starring Ram Charan and NTR may release for Sankranthi 2022. Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is yet to get a release date. John Abraham starrer Attack was supposed to hit theatres on Independence Day 2021, but was postponed due to the pandemic.

There is no official announcement about the new release dates. The makers are waiting for the North markets to stabilize to announce their release dates.
