Rudramadevi is not just a period war film

Director and producer Gunasekhar has once again came to the defense of his film which has hit rough weather with the admirers of the warrior queen Rudramadevi.

Most people seem to have taken offense with the heightened amount of romance shown in the film. It almost overshadowed the warrior essence, the spirit of Kakatiya, has been the unanimous gripe of all. The director says that the film is not a mere war portrait of the queen but also showcases full life circle and hence romance sequences get such prominence.

Well Gunasekhar may be right in a way but to sell his movie entirely using the romance might not be the right idea as people from the beginning had a contrasting view and expectation on this movie the moment it was announced.
