RX 100 Director Does A U-Turn!

Director Ajay Bhupathi shot to fame with the sensational success of RX 100. Its bold theme, music and unexpected content made it what it is. He is coming up next with Maha Samudram after a long gap. The latest updates on the movie suggest the director taking a U-turn story-wise.

Maha Samudram stars Sharwanand and Siddharth in the lead roles. It is also going to be a violent love story like Ajay Bhupati’s debut RX 100. Only here, instead of the hero, it is the heroine who seems to be at the suffering end. It is here that there would be a 360 –degree turn.

Apparently, both Sharwanand and Siddharth will play characters with grey shades. They would go against each other and, in the process, make it a mess for the female lead essayed by Aditi Rao Hydari. The role of Anu Emanuel is kept under the wraps currently.

A love story with two bad leads is a different idea, no doubt. But, it is also risky. Then again, if we look back at RX 100 and the heroine’s role, one could say the same. But Ajay Bhupati pulled it off then. So, one hopes he would be able to do it again.

Maha Samudram is slated to hit cinemas in August simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. We have to see if it keeps the date and there is no change under the current circumstances.
