Coming to the topic, we are hearing that ace producer Allu Aravind is set to go after the Telugu theatrical rights of Salaar.
Geetha Arts will soon be celebrating its 50th anniversary and Allu Aravind wants to commemorate the same with the massive release of Salaar, it seems.
However, Hombale Films, who are bankrolling Salaar are tough operators. Previously, they received astronomical offers for Telugu rights of KGF 2 but they didn’t sell the film outrightly. They released it on commission based. This paid them rich dividends as the film reaped huge profits in the Telugu states.
If Hombale didn’t sell KGF2 itself, then will they sell the Telugu rights of Salaar? Can Allu Aravind lure them into signing an outright agreement for the Telugu states deal? We will know the answer soon.
Being a senior producer and a deep pocketed one at it, Allu Aravind has the resources to go after Salaar. The ball will be in Homable’s court then.
It is known that Salaar is up for release on the 28th of September. The business will be closed much prior to that and more clarity will emerge then.
