Samantha Unwell Again, Skips Promotions

Samantha had only recently recovered from the Myositis condition that she had been suffering from. She even took part in Shakuntalam promotional campaign until recently.

But just as the film hits the penultimate phase as it heads for release on the 14th of April, Sam is unable to attend the Delhi leg of promotions as she is unwell.

As revealed by the director of the film, Gunasekhar, Samantha is unwell. She is suffering from high fever and is unable to attend the final leg of Shakuntalam’s promotions.

Gunasekhar stated that Samantha is unable to even speak and she is currently resting at her home. “Sam was excited about the promotions but she fell ill at the last minute. She has high fever and has lost her voice. She was occupied with the hectic promotions all the while and that has taken a toll” Gunasekhar stated.

The makers of Shakuntalam are holding a social screening of the film today for BJP top leadership, including the party chief JP Nadda. Given Sam’s absence, Dil Raju will be the only person to attend the screening on behalf of the team.
