When the news broke that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga would be sitting down with NTR for a Devara interview, there was instant attention and excitement among movie fans. This combination, even though it was just for an interview, sounded fresh and intriguing.
Now that the interview is out and several hours have passed, are the same fans who were excited still pleased after watching it?
The answer is definitely no, for several reasons. Based on the responses, many felt that NTR should have done a one-on-one interview with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and that too in Telugu. Doing a group interview felt generic and lost its premium feel from the start.
Secondly, NTR should have at least shown Vanga the Devara trailer. Sandeep looked out of place and barely contributed anything to the interview, even in terms of asking questions.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, this is feedback for Jr. NTR: when participating in a group interview, he should control his excitement and allow others to speak, especially when it’s their turn. In this case, NTR frequently interrupted everyone, including Saif, which felt uncomfortable for the viewers.
Overall, the interview turned out to be a big miss and ended up feeling like a regular one, based on the frank feedback on social media.
