Dil Raju has announced his second release, Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam starring Victory Venkatesh for Sankranthi. His Gamechanger is already announced for Sankranthi.
This is only the second time a production house is releasing two films of it for Sankranthi. Last time, it happened in 2023 for Mythri Movie Makers for their Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. However, both films ended up as commercial hits.
Dil Raju will look to score a similar feat.
However, this is a scenario he may not want as both the films will eat from the same pie and also the theaters have to be shared.
Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam will also demand a big release because the actor-director duo previously delivered hits like F2 and F3. Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam will have a big demand from the family audience. So, a big release is needed.
At the same time, Gamechanger is a massive budget film and it needs the biggest release possible.
Along with these two films, Dil Raju is also a regular distributor for Naga Vamsi in Nizam. Naga Vamsi’s #NBK109 is also releasing for Sankranthi.
Dil Raju will have to solve the theaters problem first and then aim for Mythri’s record – “Releasing two films for Sankranthi of same banner and scoring two big hits”.
Meanwhile, Thandel team is still pondering to come for Sankranthi or not. They will have their first Pressmeet on 4th of this month and if they decide to come for Sankranthi, the race will intensify.
Allu Aravind is in dilemma because Sankranthi release means going against Ram Charan’s film. But then, Thandel is a big-budget film and needs season advantage.
