Starting from Snehitudu, a Shankar directorial, Vijay began to dub his movies simultaneously in Telugu. It is the sixth year now, and most, if not all have come in Telugu as well, but with no real improvement in the standing of Vijay. The problem here is that the best movie Thuppakki came early on and other one Kaththi did not have a release in Telugu. Other films were average fares which became big in Tamil Nadu due to his star pull, but that is a far-reaching scenario in Telugu.

In a way, after Thuppaki, Vijay has a perfect combination release at the right time in Telugu with Sarkar. AR Murugadoss is a brand, and now, Vijay is more popular. A talk like Thuppakki or Kaththi could finally help him make inroads in Telugu Film Industry. It could be his first double-digit earner in TFI.

The advance bookings are decent at best right now. It will all depend on the talk for the film to pick. The advantage here, unlike the previous occasions, is a solo festival outing with no local Telugu movie for competition. Will it enable Vijay is finally getting a genuine success? Let us see.
