Security firewall rejecting free Wi-Fi

The Free WiFi scheme in Hyderabad is available to only few phones as many phones especially the ones with virus infected mobile phones. Besides locally-made, cheap smartphones are also not be able to connect as they are using operating systems, which cannot be detected by the servers.

The security firewall of the Free WiFi at Tankbund is rejecting such devices. BSNL is currently offering 1.3 GBPS per second speed. The network support 400 simultaneous user sessions at each hotspot. It is the latest available 5th generation technology.

BSNL officials say for security concerns they will let this feature remain as there is a need to maintain logs of each and ever usage session. Maintaining of logs is possible only when the devices are having updates Operating Systems.
