A section of Tamil media have started a narrative that the reason why Salaar got postponed is due to the fact that the makers haven’t closed the digital streaming deal yet. They say Prabhas’s recent films like Adipurush, Radhe Shyam and Saaho have scared OTT giants away.
This is as silly as it can get. The audacity of these Tamils to even say a film like Salaar didn’t get a OTT deal is laughable. Especially so at a day and age when every random small film also gets a good OTT deal.
Salaar, in itself is bigger than any and every Tamil film that is in the making. The coming together of Prabhas and KGF Prashanth Neel in itself is enough for OTT giants to make crazy offers.
A few of Prabhas’s fans are saying that the opening weekend collections of Salaar will be bigger than the closing collections of most Tamil big films that are in production now.
All in all, this is yet another addition to the list of senseless trolls from Tamils on Telugu cinema. They’re more triggered now due to the fact that Telugu cinema swept up at the recent national awards while Tamil films didn’t get a quarter of this accreditation, commented a Prabhas fan on X.
