Rocking star Yash recently ended his hiatus by announcing his next film, “Toxic,” directed by Geethu Mohandas. The surprising addition to the cast is Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has been approached to play the female lead opposite Yash.
However, Yash’s fans have expressed disappointment with this news. They were already not too happy about the choice of a Malayalam female director, known for niche films like Moothon, for Yash’s next project. They would have preferred a top-tier massy director.
The addition of Kareena Kapoor has further dampened their spirits, as they believe she is old, outdated, and may not be the ideal match for Yash. Fans have voiced preferences for actresses like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani, or Shraddha Kapoor.
Things are not going well for Yash fans these days as three fans were recently electrocuted while erecting banners on the latter’s birthday in the Gadag district. He canceled his birthday celebrations and went to meet the families of the deceased fans.
Despite the mixed reactions, “Toxic” is slated for release on April 10, 2025, promising a summer action treat for Yash fans. Speculation surrounds Kareena Kapoor’s potential debut in South Indian cinema and her first collaboration with Yash.
