Choreographer Jani Master, who was arrested in the sexual assault case, has finally got relief as the High Court of Telangana granted him bail.
After failing to get bail in the Rangareddy district court, Jani Master filed a bail petition in the High Court. Upon hearing his case, the High Court granted conditional bail.
Jani Master was arrested in September when a 21-year-old lady choreographer filed a sexual assault case against him. As she stated that he had been sexually assaulting her since the days she was a minor, Jani was booked under the POCSO act and was put under remand.
He was supposed to receive the National Award for the 2022 film Thiruchitrambalam but the award was suspended due to the allegations against him.
Since the day the complaint was filed, Jani Master and his close associates have consistently denied the allegations, calling them completely baseless. Now that he has been granted bail, it remains to be seen whether he will make any statement upon his release.
