Shakalaka stealing thunder from Sapthagiri

Telugu cinema is clearly witnessing a change in the comic sphere. With the unfortunate passing away of few and others old guards being over used there is a space for new emerging talent. It is in this space that Sapthagiri, Tagubotu Ramesh and others created an identity for themselves.

Till recently Sapthagiri was seen as leader of the pack but off late a new entry has created the most impact. He is none other than Shakalaka Shankar. Post the phenomenal success of Raju Gari Gadhi, he is seen as a new brand to bank in all small films. A season ago Sapthagiri occupied this slot.

Now with Shankar slowly graduating to bigger films, he will be seen in Sardaar Gabbar Singh for example. One wonders if he is stealing the thunder from Sapthagiri.
