Writer Arur Tamil Nadan filed a complaint against Shankar alleging that the director has used his story for his 2010 thriller, Rajinikanth starrer ‘Enthiran’. He also claimed Rs. 1 crore as compensation for using his story. Though the court directed the filmmaker to appear before the court, he failed to do so saying that he is busy with the shooting of his film.

The director’s absence has only dragged the proceedings of the court, further. Besides imposing fine on Shankar, the court also posted the case to a later date on 12th September. While this case is going on, it’s learnt that Shankar denied the charges and also said that he has all the evidences to claim the right to the story.
