Should media respect Pawan Kalyan’s privacy?

A person’s marriage is his individual choice and people should stop being judgmental about it especially when it doesn’t concern them any which way. However marriage of a certain Pawan Kalyan seems to have become big news that every media outlet is carrying. Is this barging into one’s privacy when unwelcomed? It certainly is but here in this case it comes with a small glitch.

For starters this is the third time that Pawan Kalyan is getting married, even that is not a problem but what is happening before that, is the reason it is making news when a marriage happens later. The actor’s live-in relationship with women before marriage is bringing in all the unnecessary attention as it is something that defies tradition and is still seen as a big no or a taboo generally among the larger middle class. Even without Pawan Kalyan this issue screams of media coverage now if you have Pawan Kalyan attached to it, it will be obviously be overblown by the media isn’t it?

All said and done, one should definitely show some restraint when it’s a matter of personal choice. Its one thing to go hammer and tongs about the marriage immediately after the marriage and it’s another thing to do it three months later after doing a small investigation. Clearly the people involved in the marriage don’t want this to be a public issue and hence no word on the marriage. On the other hand revelation of it, initially, by few media outlets after such a long gap, definitely arouses questions. It’s a fine line to tread and one needs to be extremely careful with issues like these, is all we can say in the end.
