There has been a lot of buzz around Mani Ratnam’s next film featuring Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu. Mani, who is currently working on the script, has approached Shruti Haasan as well as Aishwarya Rai for the film, which will be made in Telugu as well as Tamil.
Apparently, both Shruti and Aishwarya have given their consent to work with Mani Ratnam, but the news is yet to be publicly announced by the filmmaker. I wonder why would Mani Ratnam make a bilingual with Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu. He could make a straight Telugu film instead because the film will be made in Telugu and be shoddily dubbed in Tamil, and that I’m sure won’t be received well by the audience.
We have to wait to find out if Mani is indeed making a bilingual or settling with a straight Telugu film. I seriously don’t consider the making of a bilingual a good idea.
Mahesh is currently shooting for Srinu Vaitla’s Aagadu, Puri recently confirmed he will direct Mahesh’s next after Aagadu. So we wonder Mani Ratnam’s film will be only next year if nothing changes till then.
