Shruti Haasan was once close to getting married. It did not happen, and the actress still does not feel convinced that marriage is necessary for a relationship.

Speaking about the subject , Shruti said that she has no issue with being in a committed relationship. But she does not connect with is the idea that two people need a marriage certificate to prove what they mean to each other. The wedding, the paperwork and the pressure that comes with marriage are not something she feels drawn towards.

For Shruti, the bigger thing is choosing the same person every day. That matters more to her than putting a legal label on the relationship.

She opened up about motherhood. Shruti Haasan said she would love to become a mother and is open to both adoption and having a biological child.

The interesting part is that Shruti is not dismissing relationships or companionship. She has already come close to marriage once, but that experience has not pushed her towards the traditional idea of settling down. If anything, she seems more comfortable with the relationship itself than with everything that comes after saying “yes” to marriage.
